Marcone’s Efficiency Skyrockets with Ongoing Innovation in the Appliance Industry

Industry insiders may already know about Marcone’s recent integration of voice-directed warehouse management systems throughout our network of distribution centers. We’re happy to report that the technology went live at the Fresno location late last year, now giving Marcone coast-to-coast coverage in automated productivity.

“It’s more than just picking to voice though,” says Jim Wolfington, Senior Manger of Branch Sales and Operations at Marcone. “The system is used for all receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment—the improvement in efficiency and accuracy is remarkable. Automation has even improved our environmental sustainability efforts.”

Consider the following ecological impact statistics—and these are the numbers at just one warehouse:

  • 12 tons of bond paper saved by switching from traditional print to thermal imaging
  • 40% reduction in new materials used through overhauled and upgraded conveyer system
  • 100% recycle rate on returned parts
  • 90% decrease in overall waste stream
